The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, made this Sunday a series of salary announcements for the country’s working class.

In the first place, he announced the approval of a single bonus for retirees of 10,000 bolívares. This will benefit retirees between January 1st, 2018 and May 1st, 2022.

«You have to see and I feel it in my soul, how in the midst of the imperialist war, these imperialist Son Of B… affected the lives of retirees. There were retirees who left with a miserable payment; I recently announced the creation of a single compensatory repair bond for all those who have been retired », he said.

Likewise, he indicated that the payment of this bonus will be made in three tranches. Also, he announced the creation of the Workers Digital  Bank or Banco de los Trabajadores Digital to support the Venezuelan working class.

“To support the working class, and give access to banking to the entire working class, to deposit the benefits in Petro that we are going to create for the recovery of workers’ income,” he added.

Similarly, the Venezuelan Head of State created the Superintendency of Workers’ Productive Councils, “I give the order for its immediate creation.”

In addition, the president gave the order to create a Special Financing Fund for workers who want to start or finance cooperatives or labor projects. It will count as an initial amount of 100 million of bolívares.

The president also announced the creation of a National Recreation and Tourism System for workers with expenses paid, including the family.

For this, he asserted that 100 Venezuelan tourist destinations are available, such as: Los Roques, Canaima, Morrocoy, Mochima, among others.

Similarly, he created a National System of the Working Class in the country.

He called on the unions of the Caracas Metro, Conviasa, PDVSA, Alcasa, Corpoelec, Sidor, to consolidate housing projects for unionized workers

Workers’ Great March

President Maduro congratulated the workers who marched this May Day, International Labor Day, in all the states of the country.

«The working class says once again who it is with; the working class is in Revolution, the working class is heading towards socialism (…) it is the international day for the cause of socialism, all those who take it to the streets to fight for their rights on May 1st must know that May 1st it is the world struggle for socialism, for the working class,” he said.

In addition, he sent an affectionate greeting of solidarity to the working class of Latin America and the Caribbean. Among them, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico. He also added the workers from the United States.

Venezuela is recovering

«It is our struggle brothers, it is our daily and permanent struggle, it is the struggle of the people that has decided to be free and is free; Some say out there that Venezuela is fixing itself, as if that were so, as if nobody had broke a leg at it, as if we had not resisted », he stressed.

President Maduro affirmed that Venezuela is recovering and improving thanks to the efforts of the country’s working class and businessmen.

«We are going to recover more and more from the bombings, from the missiles, from the economic blockade, those missiles; These workers were the ones who most felt the social wounds of the economic aggression, of the economic war, in the first place it was felt in the wages and salaries of the workers”, he added.

Salary increase in april

Likewise, he stressed that with the decision to increase the salary of half Petro, effective last April, the salary recovery began, which he predicted would take it to the highest maximum level, “sooner rather than later.”

He indicated that this will depend on the wealth that enters the country. “This salary of half a Petro and the increase in all the salary tables that we have experienced in April is based on real wealth of the country, in organic bolivares that do not generate inflation.”

He announced that as more wealth enters the state coffers, the wages of the country’s workers will gradually improve. “Every extra penny that enters will go directly to the salary tables.”

Finally, he assured that Venezuela will advance more and more towards the path of recovery and economic growth.
