This Tuesday another shooting was recorded at an elementary school in the state of Texas in the United States (USA), which left 16 dead, of which 14 were students, one was a teacher and another was the shooter himself.
The information was released by the Texas governor, Greg Abbott , whose statements were compiled by the Associated Press (AP) news agency . In that sense, the local authority indicated that the shooter was an 18-year-old who also lost his life. He apparently was armed with a pistol and a rifle.
The shooting occurred around 1:00 in the afternoon, at the Robb Elementary school , located in the city of Uvalde in the USA and whose enrollment is around 600 students. Apparently the City Consolidated Independent School District reported an active shooter inside the institution. The fact that led the other educational centers in the town to close their doors.
The injured were taken to the Uvalde Memorial Hospital , which through its account on the social network Facebook reported that it treated 13 children in the emergency room. Of them, two died.
Likewise, the University Health health center reported through its Twitter profile that it received two patients who were injured during the shooting. On this point, the hospital indicated that one was a minor and another was a 66-year-old woman. The latter is still in critical condition.
